Summit calls for green supply chain lobby group: Top level supply chain professionals yesterday called for the development of a new body to collect and communicate critical information about greening the supply chain. The executives were debating green supply chain management strategies for the future at a Supply Chain Summit held as part of the 11th annual QLD Supply Chain and Logistics Conference in Brisbane. Participants included leading professionals from every segment of the supply chain from government, to suppliers and transport and logistics companies. According to facilitator, industry veteran David Doherty, the Summit is intended to create an action agenda for better relationships between industry sectors and between industry and government.
